PRIMARY FUNKTION
Engineers, automates, and optimizes business‑critical systems to improve operational efficiency, data integrity, and organizational performance. Centered on designing and developing scalable application solutions, building advanced automations, extending Dynamics 365 and Power Platform capabilities to modernize workflows, replace legacy processes. Serves as a technical liaison between IT, operations, payroll, client delivery, and external vendor partners — translating nuanced, ever-evolving compliance and workforce management demands of the industry into scalable, secure, and efficient architectural solutions. Partnering closely with Director, IT, Solutions Architect focuses on architecting and deploying solutions that ensures enterprise applications are reliable, efficient, and optimized for both internal operations and client‑facing needs—directly contributing to streamlined processes, improved productivity, and overall business success.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Defines, designs, develops, implements technology solutions that satisfy internal/ external stakeholder needs, optimize organizational efficiency, align with workflow and production requirements.
Designs, develops, maintains workflows and Power Automate flows, extending, customizing Dynamics 365 business logic to replace and enhance 1Staff processes.
Leverages connectors, external systems, data sources to design and deliver advanced workflow automations.
Implements robust error handling, logging, monitoring to ensure automation reliability, support efficient troubleshooting.
Develops new applications, creates prototypes to address emerging business needs within the service delivery model.
Develops, modifies compliance items in 1Staff to meet company-wide, client-specific, jurisdiction-specific legislative requirements; builds employee onboarding templates using electronic signature solution; configures integration packages to connect with the CRM.
Manages, deploys Dynamics 365 solutions across development, test, production environments, following established release management, change control process.
For assigned projects, serves as primary liaison and coordinator between testers, consultants, and internal IT team to resolve bugs identified during UAT.
Provides application support for Dynamics 365, Worksite, and other assigned systems.
Designs, builds, customizes model-driven applications, including custom pages, forms, views, to support scalable business solutions in Dynamics 365.
Meets with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements; develops, deploys reports using Power BI, T-SQL; publishes reports to Report Manager when appropriate.
Supports system software upgrades and tests system changes.
Implements solutions to support global capabilities across multiple jurisdictions Canada, UK, Ireland, Germany, ensuring technology reflects local employment law requirements.
Partners with outsourced IT providers, third-party vendors to codevelop custom solutions, conduct IT security audits, implement platform integrations that support service delivery.
Maintain understanding of global technology platforms, contributes to architectural decisions regarding their integration and use.
Researches technology trends relevant to EOR, PEO, global payroll, compliance automation, presents recommendations to IT leadership. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of experience in a Solutions Architect, Application Architect, or comparable IT role.
Experience in Staffing, Employer of Record (EOR), or Professional Employer Organization (PEO) industry strongly preferred
Experience with HRIS implementation and enterprise systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics GP, 1Staff Back Office)
SQL and database management skills, including experience using SQL tools and supporting DB administration
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or comparable cloud infrastructure environments
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem‑solving abilities with focus on root‑cause analysis and solution design
Excellent communication, documentation skills, ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with enterprise productivity and collaboration tools
Hands‑on experience with programming and scripting languages, including Python, PowerShell, T‑SQL, Visual Basic, JSON, Power Fx, and DAX
Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Visual Studio
Proficiency in database querying, data manipulation, and update management using industry‑standard tools such as SQL Server, Dynamics 365 advanced find/query tools, and related data platforms
