Om jobbet

We’re searching for a talented system engineer to join Solidsport and our journey to revolutionize the world of sport streaming. As a system engineer, you will help us build and develop the leading sport streaming platform in Europe.
System Engineer to Solidsport’s Infra Team
We have built one of the largest sports streaming platforms in Northern Europe and are now looking for a System Engineer who loves infrastructure, automation and reliability – and wants to make a clear impact from day one.
Who Are We?
At Solidsport, we are committed to innovating and digitizing the sports industry by making it possible for all sports at all levels to broadcast their games and events live – and make money from it. Our team thrives on creativity, collaboration, and a shared passion for pushing boundaries.
Live-streamed sports are at the core of what we do, by using just a smartphone, a full production crew, AI technology, or any other solution that best fits their needs. We'd like to create a context to the content and deliver a great fan experience.
Our platform creates new revenue streams and growth opportunities for federations, leagues and clubs across football, basketball, floorball, handball and volleyball.
In 2025 alone, Solidsport streamed over 150,000 sport events. We’ve also just surpassed 2 million users and have to date generated more than €25 million in revenue for teams, clubs and events.
The role – Infra at the heart of the platform
As a System Engineer at Solidsport, you will be part of our Infra team with end‑to‑end responsibility for the platform’s availability, performance and security.
You will work closely with development, product and operations to design, build and operate a modern, scalable infrastructure – both on‑prem and in the cloud.
Example responsibilities:
Design, operate and evolve our Linux‑based infrastructure (on‑prem and hybrid/cloud).
Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and applications.
Automate provisioning, configuration and deployments using Ansible, scripts and Infrastructure as Code.
Ensure observability with the right metrics, logging, dashboards and alerting.
Take part in incident handling, post‑mortems and continuous work on reliability and security.
Contribute to architecture and capacity planning as the platform grows internationally.

Tech stack and ways of working
You will mainly work with:
Linux (production servers in data center environments)
Virtualisation and hypervisor platforms such as Proxmox, including VM/container management, clustering, storage, backups, and resource planning
Automation and configuration with Ansible and scripting (e.g. Bash/Python)
Containerisation with Docker, ideally also experience with Docker Swarm or similar
PostgreSQL and related data storage solutions
CI/CD tooling for automated build and deployment flows
Monitoring and logging (for example Nagios/Prometheus/Grafana/ELK‑like setups)
Hybrid infrastructure: on‑premise servers combined with cloud services (e.g. AWS)
Networking infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, routing, and general network troubleshooting

Who you are
Several years of experience with systems/infrastructure in Linux environments, preferably running business‑critical services.
Excellent understanding of Linux administration, with good security principles.
Excellent understanding of automation, configuration management and preferably Infrastructure as Code.
Good knowledge of monitoring/observability (metrics, logs, tracing and alerting).
Used to working closely with developers with shared responsibility for operations.
Knowledge about virtualization, being comfortable with clusters and clustered network storage. Preferably with open source platforms.
Fluent in Swedish or English, spoken and written.
Self‑driven, structured and collaborative – you like ownership and continuous improvement.
A doer who can balance risk against speed and long‑term sustainability.
Thorough networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, load balancing, DNS, firewalls).

Nice to have
Experience with video streaming, CDNs or other latency‑sensitive, high‑traffic systems.
Experience with Docker Swarm or similar container platforms.
Knowledge about scripting and tools (e.g. Python, Go, Bash) for automation and integrations.
Database management and optimisation, for example PostgreSQL.
On‑call/rotation, and experience in HA (High Availability) environments.
Previous experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS), including networking, storage and security.
Basic software development experience

Why Solidsport?
We are a dynamic company with a fast‑moving, fun and passionate culture where humour is an important ingredient in our teams.
We offer significant ownership over both technology choices and ways of working, short decision paths and an environment where your voice truly matters.
We have a learning‑ and development‑focused culture with strong emphasis on knowledge sharing, experimentation and continuous improvement – both of systems and processes.
And most importantly: what you build has a direct impact on how thousands of teams and hundreds of thousands of fans can experience and share sports.
Interested?
This is a full‑time position based in Stockholm with a flexible start date.
We review applications on a rolling basis and the right candidate can join us as soon as possible. We look forward to hearing from you!
