Assignment Description
We are looking for a Platform Architect with strong expertise in Azure and Databricks platform architecture to support the design, implementation, and evolution of modern enterprise data platforms.
What You Will Work On
Design and implement enterprise-grade Azure Databricks platform solutions
Define and maintain scalable platform architecture and governance models
Develop and optimize Databricks workspace structures and cluster governance
Configure and manage operational workflows using Databricks Jobs and Workflows
Implement governance, lineage, permissions, and auditability using Unity Catalog
Design secure Azure networking solutions for cloud data platforms
Work with identity and access management using Entra ID, RBAC/ABAC, managed identities, and service principals
Implement Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines for platform deployment and automation
Collaborate with stakeholders on platform strategy, security, and operational improvements
Ensure platform solutions align with Microsoft Well-Architected principles and enterprise security standards
What You Bring
Strong expertise in Azure Databricks platform engineering and Azure architecture
Experience working with both strategic platform design and hands-on implementation
Deep knowledge of enterprise Databricks architecture, including workspace design and cluster governance
Experience with Databricks Jobs and operational workflows
Strong understanding of Unity Catalog, including governance models, permissions, lineage, and auditability
Solid expertise in Azure security and identity management
Experience with Entra ID, RBAC/ABAC, managed identities, service principals, and Key Vault integration
Strong knowledge of Azure networking and secure connectivity patterns
Experience with VNet injection, Private Link, and private endpoints
Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and/or Bicep
Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
Understanding of Microsoft Well-Architected principles and enterprise platform best practices
