Your Future TeamThe Volvo Construction Equipment Accounting, Tax and Internal Control team is a diverse team dedicated to driving change and making a difference. We own and drive the global compliance agenda for the Business Area, through support and security empowering informed business decisions. The team is a part of HQ Volvo CE and is within the central finance function, we provide guidance and directives to be implemented by our legal entities. You will belong to the central team but also take on the role of functional lead and process owner for tax within the ERP project organization.
Who are you?
You have a strong academic background in either accounting, finance, business administration or law. You bring solid experience working with tax in a multinational environment, either in-house, within a consulting firm, or at a tax authority. Over time, you have developed deep knowledge of indirect taxes such as VAT and GST, combined with a strong understanding of how tax interacts with finance processes and systems. You have also have an understanding of processes supporting transfer pricing and direct tax.
You are comfortable working at the intersection of business, finance, and IT, and have experience from finance transformation initiatives or ERP implementations such as S/4Hana. Your ability to translate complex tax requirements into practical process and system solutions is one of your key strengths. You are analytical and structured, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset, and the ability to drive initiatives forward in a global organization.
As a person, you are passionate about continuous improvement and sharing best practices. With an open and positive attitude, you drive to improve. Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
Key activities and responsibilities
• Act as a functional leader by defining, reviewing, and ensuring the quality of tax-related processes involving multiple stakeholders.• Key owner of securing tax practices and processes in the current ERP implementation. Including but not limited to leading process rollouts, ensuring smooth implementation, data integrity, and change management.• Capacity to adapt to receiving organization, acknowledge cultural differences while challenging local requirements• Ensure accurate tax determination and compliance for indirect taxes such as VAT and GST, as well as alignment with direct tax requirements where relevant
• Provide expert guidance to e.g. IT and other project stakeholders on indirect tax regulations and compliance
• Support the development of process documentation, training materials and perform training sessions for end-users
• Monitor tax-related issues throughout the project lifecycle and ensure sustainable, compliant solutions • Collaborate closely with your extended Finance Processes Owners network to maintain clear and compliant tax procedures, supporting the entire Volvo CE network.• Develop and share best practices, directives, and guidelines within your area of expertise.• Coordinate decision-making and approvals for process improvements and design topics.• Prioritize business inputs for VCE E2E ERP development and process enhancements.

The role acts as a bridge between tax, finance, and systems, ensuring that tax is fully integrated into business processes and transformation initiatives.
