The opportunity

As an IT Business Analyst for MES and Manufacturing Systems within the BST Grid Integration Application Delivery Team, you will play a key role in shaping the digital backbone of our global factories. You will bridge operational needs with modern technology, enabling efficient, safe, and reliable production processes that support our Grid Integration business. You will work closely with stakeholders, development, and operations to ensure our application landscape delivers maximum business value, innovation, and user satisfaction.
This position is based in Ludvika or Lenzburg with the option for hybrid work. This role offers the opportunity to influence how our manufacturing sites evolve, standardize, and innovate. How you’ll make an impact
Act as the primary Business Analyst for manufacturing applications, ensuring they meet evolving operational and strategic requirements.
Collaborate closely with production teams, process engineers, application owners, and global GI stakeholders to collect requirements, define solutions, and secure alignment across all sites.
Analyze and model processes (e.g., production workflows, quality checkpoints, traceability, data collection), translating them into clear functional and technical requirements for system enhancements or new Manufacturing capabilities.
Support the full lifecycle of manufacturing applications, ensuring security, compliance, reliability, and integration with critical systems.
Facilitate workshops, perform gap analyses, lead stakeholder meetings, and create clear documentation to ensure shared understanding and effective decision‑making.
Identify opportunities to streamline system landscapes, improve data quality, reduce manual work, and strengthen harmonization across factories.
Drive continuous improvement by monitoring system performance, gathering feedback from users, and proposing enhancements to increase value and efficiency.
Your Background
Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst, Management Consultant, IT Consultant, or Manufacturing IT Analyst within complex industrial or production environments.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and model business and manufacturing processes and translate them into actionable requirements.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and cultures.
Demonstrate experience working with IT/OT teams, development, operations teams and vendors to deliver high-quality application support and enhancements.
Experience with MES platforms, industrial data systems, or integration technologies is an advantage, but not mandatory.
Fluency in English is required; Swedish is highly desirable.
