Assignment Description
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer / Battery Specialist
What You Will Work On
Develop and validate SOH and RUL models for used BEVs
Analyze battery degradation using operational vehicle data
Compare on-board battery estimates with off-board model results
Investigate and explain deviations in battery health calculations
Assess aging drivers such as:
Temperature
State of Charge (SOC)
Depth of discharge
Charging behavior
C-rate and load profiles
Route and usage patterns
Define confidence levels and applicability criteria for battery lifetime estimates
Translate technical battery insights into business recommendations for:
Used vehicle sales
Leasing strategies
Warranty risk
Residual value assessments
Second-life planning
What You Bring
Relevant technical education in:
Battery Technology
Electrochemistry
Electrical Engineering
Materials Science
or similar field
Strong expertise in Li-ion battery technology and degradation mechanisms
Experience with battery lifetime assessment including:
Calendar aging
Cycle aging
Real-world usage effects
Strong understanding of:
State of Health (SOH)
Remaining Useful Life (RUL)
Capacity fade
Resistance increase
Performance degradation
Experience interpreting battery data from vehicles, BMS systems, diagnostics, or testing
Ability to critically assess model outputs and evaluate technical/business relevance
Experience collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to explain complex degradation concepts clearly and pragmatically
