About the Role
You will help turn complex repair methods into clear workshop manual content used by service personnel in a large aftermarket environment within the automotive industry. The documentation covers motors, batteries for electric vehicles and transmission systems, which means you will work close to both advanced technology and the people who define how repairs should be performed.
In this role, you collaborate with technical writers, illustrators and method engineers across several teams to make sure each instruction is accurate, easy to follow and adapted to the right level of detail for the end user. It is an excellent opportunity if you enjoy translating technical knowledge into practical guidance that supports real work in the workshop.
Job DescriptionYou will create repair method descriptions for workshop service personnel.
You will produce content for workshop manuals covering motors, batteries for electric vehicles and general transmission.
You will work closely with technical writers, illustrators and method engineers to build clear and accurate documentation.
You will shape content so it meets the right level of detail, terminology and quality for the end user.
You will help ensure that technical information is easy to understand and usable in a hands-on service environment.
RequirementsBackground in technical communication or similar work, with hands-on experience producing technical instructions.
Fluent English and Swedish, written and spoken.
Ability to understand technical terms and basic technical concepts.
Experience adapting technical content to the right level of detail and quality for the end user.
Strong focus on end-user needs and ability to turn them into clear instructions and visuals.
Experience working with technical documentation.
Nice to haveExperience from industrial, electric vehicle or electrical systems environments.
Previous experience in a large automotive organisation, within aftermarket or R&D.
Experience with structured authoring and documentation management systems such as Arbortext.
