Role Overview:
The client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer specializing in Java to support a long-term consulting engagement within e-commerce and system integration. This role focuses on designing and delivering robust integrations between a promotion/rules engine and an e-commerce platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build efficient backend solutions while maintaining high coding standards and deployment stability.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement backend integrations between enterprise systems, particularly within e-commerce environments.
Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code aligned with industry best practices and coding standards.
Conduct thorough unit testing and validation to ensure code quality and reliability.
Oversee and support stable production deployments, ensuring minimal disruption and high availability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders, to deliver cohesive solutions.
Contribute to system design discussions, ensuring scalability and performance of microservices-based architectures.
Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation, including solution designs and knowledge sharing.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development processes and system performance.
Required Experience:
Extensive experience in backend development at a senior level.
Strong hands-on expertise in building scalable and distributed systems.
Proven experience working with system integrations and microservices architecture.
Familiarity with cloud environments and modern DevOps practices.
