Assignment Description
We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join a hardware R&D organization within the life sciences sector.
What You Will Work On
Design and develop embedded software for laboratory and industrial systems
Work across all development phases, including concept, implementation, testing, and documentation
Develop and maintain real-time and safety-critical embedded systems
Work with low-level software components such as drivers, HAL, and BSP
Perform application-level development close to hardware
Collaborate with automation and control teams to ensure system integration
Contribute to testing, validation, and quality assurance activities
Support lifecycle management from development to production
What You Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Embedded Software Engineering or related field
Minimum 3+ years of experience in embedded software development
Experience developing software for laboratory or industrial systems
Strong knowledge of bare metal and RTOS-based systems
Experience with real-time, safety-critical, and time-sensitive applications
Hands-on experience with MCU platforms such as STM32 or Renesas
Experience with driver, HAL, and BSP development
Ability to work close to hardware at application level
Fluent in both English and Swedish (spoken and written)
Availability to work on-site in Uppsala (5 days/week)
