Responsible for ensuring full deployment and compliance with Calderys EHS protocols, management systems, and local legal requirements across both sites, while embedding EHS into all business decisions and operations. The role also provides technical support on audits, risk assessments, incidents, and regulatory matters, while coaching managers and teams and ensuring strong alignment with Group and Hub EHS functions.
This is a fulltime, permanent position in Höganäs.
Responsibilities:
Deploy and insure adherence of the sites to Calderys EHS protocols (in particular S7 protocols).
Ensure with the sites the follow-up of compliance to the group and to the local regulation via specific tools (e.g. Red Online or equivalent).
Participate in Group / Hub audits.
Provide technical and legal advice, so that Environment, Health and Safety firmly stays at the top of every agenda and is embedded in all aspects of business thinking and decision making for both Höganäs and Åmål.
Maintain Environment, Health and Safety Audit systems, procedures and conducting audits and communicating the findings.
Assist in the development, maintenance and implementation of Calderys EHS Management Systems to ensure that Calderys comply with relevant country legislation and Calderys EHS policies.
Coach, train and support key people, managers, leaders, project managers, improvement managers.
Liaise and communicate with the Calderys Group EHS Manager and the Hub EHS Manager to ensure good practices.
Environment, Health and Safety initiatives and changes in legislation are reported and when necessary, communicating externally to the authorities.
Provide support and advice to both people and managers.
Risk planning, implementation and management of risk analyses / risk assessments.
Available for Environment, Health and Safety incidents, providing technical support and advice, evaluation and liaison with authorities and reporting.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in HSE, Engineering, or a related technical field with 4+ years of HSE experience, preferably in a multinational and multi-site environment.
Strong expertise in HSE management systems, sustainability, legal compliance, ISO/environmental standards, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
Fluent in Swedish and English, with solid IT proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, and PowerApps.
Proven leadership, communication, coaching, analytical, planning, project management, and problem-solving capabilities with a hands-on approach.
Strong track record in driving safety performance, compliance, audit closure, waste reduction, and proactive safety culture initiatives.
