About the Assignment
You will help shape store interior products for global retail environments, working across the full development journey from early brief and concept to technical documentation, production readiness and implementation. The assignment combines engineering depth with design thinking, with a clear focus on functionality, sustainability and quality.
You will work in a context where products need to perform well in real retail settings, be ready for large-scale production and support a long-term life cycle perspective. Job DescriptionYou will drive product development from brief and concept through development, verification and implementation.
You will translate business needs and product briefs into technical solutions that balance function, quality, cost and sustainability.
You will create technical drawings, specifications and assembly instructions.
You will work with 3D CAD for modeling, drawings and documentation.
You will contribute to prototype testing and verification to ensure products are ready for production and use.
You will support production readiness, including choices related to materials, surface treatments, production methods and transport solutions.
You will collaborate in a global setup and contribute to solutions that work across different retail environments.
You will apply a circular design mindset, with focus on repair, reuse, refurbishment and end-of-life considerations.
RequirementsAt least 4 years of relevant experience within Product development / Design Engineer roles.
Bachelor degree in Product Development, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or equivalent.
Strong technical foundation combined with a design and user perspective.
Solid experience of the end-to-end product development process.
Ability to translate briefs and business goals into technical solutions.
Experience producing technical drawings, specifications and assembly instructions.
Good understanding of materials, surface treatments, production and transport solutions.
Good experience in prototype testing and verification.
Strong skills in 3D CAD, including modeling, drawings and documentation.
Experience working in PLM systems.
Understanding of circular design principles such as repair, reuse and refurbishment.
Life cycle perspective on materials, production and end of life.
Fluent English, spoken and written.
Nice to haveMaster’s degree in Product Development, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or equivalent.
Experience with 3D rendering tools.
Experience with Adobe Illustrator / Indesign.
Experience from retail, store concepts or interior products.
Experience working with global suppliers, global companies and large-scale production.
