Company Description
Supply Chain Planning function within Supply Chain Operations and leads and develops tactical and operational planning with accountability for inventory, replenishment methods, need planning, and logistic capacity planning — securing agreed service levels at the lowest total cost for IKEA customers worldwide. Supply chain planning sets the prerequisites for successful everyday excellence in execution. The function works closely together with other stakeholders across IKEA, to achieve this together.
Job Description
We are looking for an inspiring, value based and experienced leader with a strong belief in individuals’ potential - to lead and execute the exciting agenda in Supply Chain Planning. As Supply Chain Planning Manager, you will lead and develop Supply Chain Planning and work to strengthen and accelerate some of the most important strategic movements regarding planning. Are you up for it?
We have an exciting agenda ahead of us in Supply Chain Operations and you, together with the leaders of your unit, will be leading the development and implementation of plans, setting priorities, creating business and people results and building alignment with other partners in the total IKEA value chain. All of this will help us to reach the common IKEA goals.
You will be part of Supply Chain Operations Management Team, as well as leading your own Supply Chain Planning management team, covering Need Planning, Flow Capacity Planning and Flow Replenishment in the different locations.
You will report to the Supply Chain Operations Manager and be based in Älmhult, Sweden.
In the assignment you will:
Secure forecasted sales with sufficient stock levels and manage inventories within agreed frames, with focus on availability at lowest cost
Globally responsible to review and balance the total need versus supplier/logistics capacity in order to make an executable supply plan
Lead flow capacity planning
Lead goods flow optimization within existing supply chain network
lead with planning in times of constraints or disruption as well as timely response to inventory opportunities
Secure the interfaces between supply chain planning tasks and related planning tasks in Range and Retail
Secure the right competence in the right place by being responsible for recruitment, development, performance management, retention and succession plans within your area of responsibility and thereby secure performance and compliance
Establish and manage cost budget for Supply Chain Planning; continuously uses resources in an optimal way to secure business goals ensuring organizational efficiency. Set the frame for allocation of resources based on business needs for the different locations
Act as an ambassador and role model for driving the IKEA business transformation, with accountability for implementation of the various deliverables that enable high performance and increased efficiency.
Contribute to developing the Business Plan, for Supply Chain Operations and end-to-end goods flow processes. Develop and implement Action Plan in line with Business Plan, securing excellent results in logistical operational development and performance
Lead in a way that IKEA culture and values become an everyday reality
