Tollo moved 2023 to a new factory of 10,000 m2 just outside Kristianstad. At Tollo Linear AB, we often work in international development projects together with colleagues from other parts of Thomson in Europe, the USA, China and Mexico.
We are looking for a Business Developer with a Technical Background – as Industry and Business Development Manager (IBDM).
You will serve as the IBDM of your assigned industries, ensuring that our solutions are positioned effectively, our sales teams are enabled to win, and our market presence is competitive. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, market analysis, and hands-on execution to ensure our solutions and campaigns align with industry trends, customer needs, and business priorities.
The role is responsible for segmenting, mapping and understanding our share of the assigned industry, and how we can grow our share. To validate and execute the Linear Motion division strategy, and how or what we need to adjust and understand our position in the assigned industry from a 5P point of view, identify the gaps and propose solutions how to close the gaps. As IBDM you are actively involved in VOC collection supporting current and future Linear Motion division strategy and product roadmaps in the assigned industry.
To be successful in this role we expect you to be part of an exceptional customer experience by customers in the assigned industry where you develop and conduct training for internal as well as external audience promoting our capabilities, values and solutions. Part of this work could be join and support in customer meetings, being active in developing and conducting webinars, as well as working and visiting exhibitions.
You need to have good communication skills since the role involves broad networks of contacts and you are expected to develop our strategies and support both internal and external contacts such as our international salespeople, OEM customers, distribution partners and our production. Your goals are to find potential sales growth, increase market share and identify customers within the industry segment assigned to you.
To be successful in the role, we believe you have a solid knowledge and experience in technology. You most likely have a degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical) or marketing.
You should have experience with mechanical components combined with electrical equipment such as motors or experience in technical sales and marketing. You need to have good knowledge of Microsoft Office and how to make value calculations and margin calculations
Fluent in English but also other languages such as German or French is an advantage.
The role includes some travel, so you need to be able use different transportation options.
