Join us in building a product that gives children a strong start in school. At Albert Group, a leading European edTech company, we’re expanding our product portfolio — and we want you on that journey.
We’re looking for a pragmatic QA Engineer to join our Junior app team. You’ll work in a collaborative environment with real impact on quality, helping shape QA in a setup combining React Native and Unity.
This is a hands-on role with a balanced focus on automation and manual testing, where you’ll contribute broadly and influence how we build quality at scale.
Our product is a React Native application with Unity gameplay code integrated through a custom-built bridge. This creates a technically interesting QA environment across app flows, APIs, integrations, and gameplay experiences.
We are looking for someone who can both strengthen and extend our automation efforts and bring a structured, thoughtful approach to manual testing. A key part of the role is helping us shape and improve our approach to Unity gameplay testing and automation, which is an area we want to strengthen significantly.
What you will do
Work closely with developers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand features, requirements, and risk areas
Design, build, maintain, and improve automated tests across relevant levels such as integration, API, and end-to-end
Evaluate and evolve our current automation approach for React Native
Explore, propose, and help establish practical approaches for Unity gameplay testing and automation, including what should be automated, what should be tested manually, and how to build confidence in gameplay quality over time
Perform hands-on manual testing of new features, regression areas, edge cases, user journeys, and gameplay flows
Create and maintain test scenarios, test charters, checklists, regression suites, and lightweight test documentation
Use exploratory testing and risk-based thinking to uncover issues that automated tests are unlikely to catch
Help define how automated and manual QA should work together effectively across the product
Investigate bugs thoroughly, document findings clearly, and work closely with the team to drive resolution
Support release quality through structured test planning, regression testing, and quality sign-off input
Contribute to CI/CD test execution and help enable reliable local test execution for developers
Help improve QA ways of working, test strategy, coverage visibility, and overall quality culture in the team
Tech stack and context
App: React Native, TypeScript
Gameplay: Unity, C#
Current automation: Maestro
CI/CD: GitHub Actions
Backend/API integrations: relevant parts included in test scope
At Albert, we believe learning should be engaging, accessible, and fun, and you’ll play a key role in turning that belief into impactful product decisions.
