Are you ready to grow with an innovative company and play a key role in the green transition? ES Energy Save is on an exciting growth journey in the heat pump sector, with vast market potential across Europe.
We are looking for a Product Owner / Product Builder for Control and Connectivity who can both hold a strategic vision and roadmap, and roll up their sleeves to be in the trenches and make it happen.
This is a hybrid role. You will carry the product vision with one hand and move it forward with the other — working directly with engineers, partners, and customers to build control and connectivity technology that performs, scales, and delights.
Key Responsibilities
· Drive the vision and roadmap for control and connectivity, informed by customer needs, market trends, overall product strategy and roadmap, to enable cutting-edge performance, reliability, and experience.
· Plan, prioritise, and execute the roadmap through milestones and backlog.
· Design and implement embedded software, working hands-on in the engineering team.
· Measure outcomes from end-to-end testing and long-term monitoring.
· Bridging internal and external integrations and own the technical partner interface
· Orchestrate an effective way of working within the engineering team and across the broader functions.
Requirements
· Actively uses AI tools to accelerate product work, reduce friction, and unlock scale.
· 5+ years in firmware or embedded software development - you are a software engineer at heart and want to continue to contribute to the code base.
· Previous experience in product management and/or in engineering leadership.
· Strong technical understanding and experience of embedded systems and hardware–software integration - C/C++, Rust, microcontrollers (STM32, NXP and potentially ESP32), communication intefaces (Modbus-RTU, Modbus-TCP, Ethernet, Wifi).
· A strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments, comfortable driving clarity and making decisions with incomplete information.
· A strong communicator, capable of bridging the gap between technical teams, customers, and partners.
· Experience with hardware-adjacent partners or white-label/ODM relationships.
· Very good knowledge in English, both spoken and written.
Nice to Have
· Experience and curiosity in energy technology, smart home systems, IoT, EMC, LVD — experience in these areas is a plus
· Familiarity with machine connectivity protocols (BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, KNX, or similar).
