Are you a hands-on leader who thrives close to operations and people? Do you enjoy combining structure, engagement, and continuous improvement to build strong, high-performing teams? If so, this could be a role where you truly make a difference.
As Assembly Manager, you will be responsible for the local assembly and packaging operations in Kristinehamn, leading a team of 16 employees. You are close to the day-to-day operations and provide clarity, direction, and engagement by building trust and guiding the team toward shared objectives.
While securing quality and delivery, you also focus on building the capabilities needed for tomorrow. Through clear communication, well-structured processes, and early involvement, you contribute to stable workflows and reliable customer delivery performance.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality assembly and packaging operations
Short- and long-term resource planning, capacity management, and competence development
Supporting audits, compliance activities, and customer inspections
Driving cross-functional improvement initiatives together with supply chain, focusing on quality, cost, and delivery
Providing guidance on assembly-related standards and requirements, contributing to root cause analysis and corrective actions in collaboration with supply chain and engineering
You actively challenge existing ways of working and, together with your team, introduce smarter and more efficient solutions. Your leadership focuses on simplicity, efficiency, safety, and sustainability, creating an environment where people can perform, develop, and succeed.
Qualifications
We are looking for a leader with experience from mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or heavy industry, preferably within assembly, testing, or similar operational environments. You combine strong people leadership with a structured, performance-driven mindset. You understand the broader business context, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and plan proactively to balance workload and capacity over time. You are motivated by developing people, building engaged teams, and continuously improving ways of working to achieve sustainable results.
The position requires fluency in English and Swedish. As we operate within the naval segment, questions related to citizenship will be part of the selection process, and employment requires security clearance in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
Why join us?
You will join an international company where advanced maritime technology meets a collaborative culture. We offer flexible working hours, reduced working time, and benefits that support well-being, including a well-being allowance, a renovated gym, and subsidized lunch. You will be part of a close-knit team where competence, engagement, and mutual respect are highly valued.
If you are inspired by leading people, shaping the future of assembly, and making a real impact in everyday operations, we would be happy to hear from you.
