Johnson Controls Global Marine is seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our growing team in Norrköping. For more than 70 years, we have delivered complete design, project management, and service of equipment for marine use. As a global leader in marine refrigeration, we design, manufacture, and service chillers for HVAC&R systems for marine and cruise applications. We are committed to environmental sustainability and are adopting CO2 refrigerant as our standard.
What you will do
As a Design Engineer, you will work closely with our team to develop creative solutions for provision plants and heat pumps. You will contribute to system calculations, chiller design, and comprehensive documentation, handling a diverse range of tasks that will challenge and expand your skills. You will thrive in a fast-paced, international matrix environment and share our commitment to safety and quality. Your collaborative, credible, and customer-focused nature will help you build strong relationships with customers, partners, and colleagues.
How you will do it
Collaborate with the design team leader to develop solutions for provision plants and heat pumps.
Work with the application engineer to review specifications, identify deviations, and develop JCI technical specifications for quotations.
Contribute to the design team on brine systems and other related tasks, including calculations and drawings.
Drive continuous improvement of commissioning and design processes.
Provide technical sales support in defined areas and expand your scope as your skills develop.
Participate in testing activities for new products developed by the team.
we look for
Minimum B.Sc. in mechanical engineering (refrigeration knowledge is a plus).
Strong verbal and written communication skills with meticulous problem-solving abilities.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international matrix environment.
Collaborative, credible, and customer-focused in interactions with customers, partners, and colleagues.
