For our department Treaty we are seeking to appoint a Underwriter P&C.

We are looking for you to join us in running our Nordic Treaty business where we together manage our portfolio and make decisions in close contact with our customers. Do you like the combination of technical analysis and negotiation, and are you good at building and maintaining networks? Then you could be the one we are looking for!
Duties and responsibilities
The position involves risk assessment, analysis and pricing of insurance portfolios and negotiation of contractual terms.
The role involves a mix of technical underwriting and an ability to create and develop sustainable long term client relationships.
The clients are insurance companies in the Nordics and you will work both with insurance intermediaries and directly with the insurance companies.
You will be part of an underwriting group working within Facultative and Treaty reinsurance. The group consists of about 12 employees, of which three people working in Treaty underwriting.
The working year is relatively clearly divided. Most treaties are renewed annually on 1 January, which means that autumn is a very intensive period with a high workload. The intensive renewal period is followed by a period of reporting, monitoring and analyzing the business, and reviewing portfolio strategies. The work also consists of travelling and other relationship building activities to maintain and find new business opportunities as well as cooperation with other units within Hannover Re.
You come equipped with
Education/background
University degree in economics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
Several years of experience in the non-life insurance industry within reinsurance
Knowledge of underwriting principles, pricing methodologies and risk assessment
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with complex data
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Personal characteristics
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Business-oriented with a long-term perspective
Team player with the ability to collaborate across functions
Additional information
The role includes travel within the Nordic region
The position is based in Sweden
